Pregnancy Diet

I want to make a list of some of the foods I am eating because I have already been asked about cravings and what my baby wants me to consume.

I feel so blessed to have good, healthy cravings and so far no morning sickness. I also feel blessed to have tons of energy. I exercised for an hour this morning and I want to go back a little later tonight for more exercising! I cannot get enough of the gym and I have to burn off my energy somehow so the treadmill and bike are the best ways to do so!!!

Anyway, here are a list of some of my favorite pregnancy foods! Everything I eat is organic. I even use organic soaps, lotions, toothpastes, body washes and shampoo.

broccoli

kale

brussels sprouts

salads

tomatoes

celery

dates

green apples

green grapes

collard greens

rice milk

beans

hummus

and more

I am eating a raw food vegan diet because I have massive meat aversions. Fish, beef, chicken, turkey and pork do not appeal to me at all. I am getting tons of protein and working closely with a nutritionist. I decided to eat a raw food vegan diet during pregnancy because it is the healthiest diet for my unborn baby. My diet is also low in unhealthy fats and unnecessary calories for weight control.

I do eat some cooked foods such as sweet potatoes and sometimes I steam veggies but 90% of my diet is raw, plant based foods.

I am avoiding anything processed such as dairy, pastas, breads and canned foods, as canned foods can have chemicals in them such as BPA. I am only drinking water and rice milk, no tea or coffee. I exercise daily and I will be having a personal trainer if cleared by my doctor.

I will keep you all updated on my health and how I am feeling as things progress. For now I feel great. I feel healthier pregnant than I did when I was not pregnant and I am really enjoying this process.
