Not Skiing

It was a huge decision for me to have to make but I decided not to ski this season because I am pregnant with my first child! Winter Park filming is put on hold as well as any future competitions. I will not be even cruising the mountain.

Many women say that there is never a good time to be pregnant but Jason and I disagree. For us, this is the perfect time to be pregnant. We are so excited to be bringing another life into the world and into our family.

The reasons I decided not to attempt skiing are many. The snow this season is horrible. There are only a hand full of runs open, which means many people on the same run. No offense beginners but you do not know what you are doing and Jason and I do not want to risk getting hit or cut off.

The conditions are the biggest deciding factor in me calling it quits for the 2017-2018 ski season, as the snow is all man made and rocks, stumps and other hazards make it easy to catch an edge.

Jason and I will be out there next season for 2018-2019! We will be getting out little peanut out there as well towards the end of the season! We cannot wait to teach peanut to ski.
