Psalm 18:2

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Psalm 34:18

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.

Jesus felt pain when He suffered and died for us on the cross. He knows what we face day in and day out because He too walked this earth. He lived in the fallen world and because Jesus walked with us, He is able to be fully understanding of our struggles.

Pain is a daily part of our lives. It is something that no one likes to think about or wants to talk about. Pain and suffering is something that every single person goes through. No one is immune. Pain and suffering is another way God punishes us for our sins but still, it does not mean that God does not love us.

God does not want to see us suffer. He did not want to see me get hurt in that accident and He did not want me to go through all of the suffering I had physically and mentally afterwords. God did not want to watch as I cried myself to sleep because I came back and I could not stay in Heaven. To this day, the Lord does not want to see me upset over anything but He knows that there will be days when I will hurt and suffer.

God cannot stand the pain that we feel so much that He promises good will always follow the bad. Whenever something bad happens to you, expect good to follow. The good might not be something big but it could be. Sometimes the good that follows the bad is small but just know that every good thing that happens to you is God's gift to you. Be thankful for the good and the gifts that God gives you. Take them and run with it and praise the Lord when the good does come.
